06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
Myspace, Xanga, HTML - oh my! I came of age in the golden era of the internet (or so I believe). I've been slinging code around since my very first all HTML website about frogs. Myspace was the evolution and my ultimate creative expression.

I love the whole process! Designing the website speaks to my soul while bringing it to life speaks to my problem solving mind.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
A good shake out - going to the gym, doing some yoga or getting outside in any capacity, preferably a surf!
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Minimalist. Modern.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Sticky & Scrolling sections, Image on Hover, Mega Menu, Scrolling Marquee, literally all of them! I love trying new things on all projects.
11
What makes your work standout?
That I love to push the limits of what is possible, especially on the web. My style is finding your style, but I tend towards more minimalistic, type driven, grid layouts for that editorial feel. Personally, I am drawn towards calming, quiet and natural spaces and this is reflected in personal projects. That being said, I love to explore different design styles that push me out of my comfort zone!
12
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
That nothing is impossible! The Standout programmes have broadened what I believe is possible with code, especially on a platform like Squarespace and Shopify. We can truly bring our wildest visions to life.
13
What is your dream website project?
My dream website project would be for an architect! I'd love to create minimalist typography driven exploration of the built spaces they are creating. I'd also love to work with more product based businesses especially those in the food and beverage industries!

Peloton Capital Management.
This was a client project and my largest website build yet. I love implementing sticky features for roll-over effects, a mega menu, and the ability to have full control over typography using code.

I love to bring in a hand-drawn aesthetic to all of my work. Whether it's a texture I painted, an illustration I sketched, or a piece of lettering I wrote on my iPad, I think there's something unique about handmade elements in our digital world.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Lucie Fink
I worked with Lucie on revamping her brand identity and website. She was on a boring Squarespace template and her goal was to have a place where she was proud to send potential collaborations and house all of her content. She needed a brand and website that reflected her and her fun, colorful aesthetic.
We used the moodboard plug-in to show off Lucie's creative style and provide an interactive component to her audience.
I learned how to use summary blocks and blogs to load all of her content. Lucie shares her videos across all different platforms and we needed to find a way to make it easy for her audience to find.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
It's a goldmine of information! I used to Google my way through my business, specifically when it comes to web design. Now, if I'm ever stuck on anything in the development process, I pop over to the community and course and can more than likely find what I'm looking for. I also love how up-to-date the Standout programs remain in our ever-changing world.
14
What is your dream website project?
I have SO many! I'd love to work with a large, well-known brand that I admire on a Shopify overhaul. A brand that comes to mind is Show Me Your Mumu!

10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?

11
What makes your work standout?
I took time to listen to my client's problem, provide the simplest solution, and elevate it to make it look unique and stand out. Every client is different, every project is a new challenge. I am always up for any creative challenge. I am led by curiosity and skill-driven results.
12

Mutual Muse.
Website → As a Shopify Developer this is my proudest project. Designed by the lovely Dana from @paradise.studio.design Lots of the buildout from this site is based from my learning from Standout Squarespace and Standout Shopify. And I use lots of assets from Standout Shopify Code Toolkit that I modified so it looks like the design that Dana has.
AR15 and Under
Website →Designed by KUYA, my role in this project is the Shopify Developer. This is a non-profit project that won 2024 D&AD award for Writing in Design (Graphite Pencil)
Gaze
Website →As designer and developer, this is my proudest project. What I love about it is, the challenge of how to make Squarespace website look unique
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Rache's teaching style and materials are unique, aesthetic, and very importantly: make sense. Standout program has the best of both worlds of creativity and coding. Being a designer who loves to venture and learn more in coding, I took many coding courses and most of them were too long/too slow/too boring but not with Standout. Every module sparks interest and Rache's way of teaching makes coding make sense.
Also, the community. I met lots of new friends in Standout, and collaborate on projects and develop meaningful relationships.
14
What is your dream website project?
Be part of a project that is bigger than me.

02
Outside work you will often find me playing with my dog Bimba (although I do that during work hours too :)) Doing sports, specially kite-surf. I love traveling and working as a digital nomad. I am *based* in Mexico so I love summer, the beach and any activity that requires being in water. I love running early in the morning, coffee (espresso) and architecture / interior design.(VIEW)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually drinking coffee and designing the website architecture. I love development and my focus is bringing designers vision and website projects to life through smart code. As an architect turned web developer I an a natural puzzle solver, coming up with simple yet impactful coding solutions for fellow cool designers, this is why my studio is called From Cool to Coded.
04
My day usually starts with meditation, coffee and a morning run in the nearest park
05
Most of the time I am working on web development for other designers inside Squarespace and Shopify
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
I am a 90's kid so I remember the sound of dial up internet. I am a hybrid: knew both analog and digital eras. I would download coloring books and images that I could then print out and make an art project out of them... I loved it since the very beginning.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Coding is where I shine. I like design and really enjoy it too... but writing lines of code and coming up with smart, efficient and simple solutions to website mockups is my passion. I love puzzles (big sudoku fan) and web development is like solving one big puzzle in many small steps.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Playing with my dog
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Monochrome. Playful. Bold.
10
Share your unique style, your design philosophy and/or aesthetics that appeal to you.
I consider myself a design chameleon. I love studying vintage magazines and books to gather inspo as much as I love seeing what's new on Pinterest. I try my best to combine the best of new and old while providing a safety net depending on the niche my clients are in.
11
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
All of them! But if I have to choose: vertical lines, mega menus (or any menu workshop), testimonial slider, sticky - scrolling, focus list carrousels, anything with hover effects and animations.... Lol I could keep going, they are all amazing.
12
What makes your work standout?
I love an editorial, bold, monochromatic design but contrasted with fun, playful user integrations. I love it when users are surprised when visiting a website with *hidden* cool animations and interactions. I love to incorporate these fun little code snippets that give web designs and extra layer of fun.
13
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Maria Web StudioWebsite →It was the first website I made for myself when I launched my Web Design Studio and was still a student inside Standout Squarespace. Since it was a project for myself I felt really confident to explore and take risks. It represented my design style to the fullest: editorial, vertical lines, black and white and image and typography based. I built it when the classic editor was the only editor. I used the lessons learned inside Module 4: Box model, typography, display, float and layout position properties. During this project I learned that anything is possible when you learn smart coding techniques. That CSS alone goes a long long way. I also learned more about my personal style and POV.
14
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
My biggest takeaway is that if you build strong skills you can achieve anything. That you can create your dream job, and creativity is inside all of us, it just has different outlets. I will forever be grateful for Rache and of her Standout Programs, they opened a lot of doors I never thought possible for me.
15
What is your dream website project?
I love coding websites, so my dream website project is to collaborate with nice, cool designers around the world and bring their website projects from cool to coded.

02
Outside work you will often find me traveling, exploring, working out, spending time with friends and family. (VIEW)

04
My day usually starts with coffee and music.
05
Most of the time I am working on client projects and exploring ideas.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
I was born in the 70's and grew up in the 80's and 90's so I feel I've had a unique front-row seat to the evolution of the internet. I grew up writing essays with my parents encyclopedias. When the internet came around, I was all in. From dial up to myspace to chat rooms!
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I love getting creative...whether that's with colors, concepts or code. I could spend hours playing around with new coding techniques and love watching it all come together. Building is where I excel and where I like to spend time.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
A workout! or finding food when working abroad.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Modern. Feminine. Earthy. Playful. Vibrant. Editorial. Minimalist.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
All of them :) I love the mega menu the most but testimonial sliders and carousels are great as well.
11
What makes your work standout?
I really focus on amalgamating my design sense with the clients' vision. I really want my client to love their website so I ensure I'm building to their unique requests. Although I have my own sense of design, I really listen to them and build around their design preference and vision as well. This creates quite an eclectic portfolio!
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Stamp and HammerWebsite →I have many. But I looooove what I did with the Stamp & Hammer website. They really challenged me in building something out of the box and there have been many times I had to amalgamate a few CSS workshops or plugins. There are some key components inside this website that I had to build from scratch. Like the floating newsletter bar and the home page rotating banner with video, images with Kenburns effects. Tons of amazing, fun challenges on this site.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
I would need to credit standout for a lot of my design techniques, my successful business structure and my ability to get through touch sticky codes. I love building and this course focuses on those who want to step out of the box. I love coloring outside the lines :)
14
What is your dream website project?
I would love for someone to come to me and say 'I'll leave all the design and decision making to you!' Building a website without restriction or a cap on creativity has always been a dream.

08

Hi! My name is Cecily Carlyle and I’m a Visual Designer based in Toronto, Canada.
02
Outside work you will often find me walking around the city getting coffee with friends, going on hikes, and checking out new art exhibits.(VIEW)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually at home working away at my desk listening to DJ Cinthie to get into a flow state.
04
My day usually starts with COFFEE
05
Most of the time I am working on emails and iterating on designs.
“The end result was a site with a visual style that was unique to me and which told my story in an innovative and one-of-a-kind way.”
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
Angel Fire which was a website builder I used back in 2000 to upload as many pixelated Spice Girl and Sailor Moon images, as I possibly could haha.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Figuring out how the visual identity will translate over to the web experience and putting the puzzle pieces together so the content flows well.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Stretching and recaffeinating.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Minimalist. Editorial. Modern. Brutalist.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
-Stacked List Cards
-Split Gallery
-Overflow Elements to Adjacent Sections
11
What makes your work standout?
With my background in fashion design, I incorporate a European, minimalistic sensibility in my work. I gravitate towards clean lines, grids, textures, black accents, and an overall minimalistic design aesthetic.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Kim Vance ND
Website →The client completed an in depth questionnaire relating to their business, industry competitors, content requirements, and desired styles. I distilled all of the information into a visual identity concept. Once approved by the client we moved into the web design process which consists of designing a high-fidelity prototype of the homepage. Once the homepage is approved the remaining pages are designed and the site is built out with minor tweaks via client feedback.
Workshops used:
-Fluid Tab Grids for Blog section on Home page
-Stacked List Cards on Services page
Throughout this project build I learnt that "less is more". I always start out wanting to include a lot of cool features, but I am reminded to ask: what is the purpose, and will it hinder the user's experience?
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Don't be afraid to try and get messy. Use the amazing community to your advantage. If you're struggling to understand a concept—practice is key. This can come in the form a concept project for your portfolio if you don't have a client. Keep going and it will get easier and you will get quicker!

02
Outside work you will often find me travelling the world whenever I can ✈️ but if I'm at home in Toronto, then you'll find me at a yoga class 🧘🏻♀️ (VIEW)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually working from home at my desk fully focused on my to-do list 👩🏻💻
04
My day usually starts with drinking tea and reading emails. After that, I'll dive into my biggest task of the day.
05
Most of the time I am working on client projects! I normally have one big focus for my day so maybe developing a client's site and the rest of the day is smaller tasks.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
The first time I ever coded was for my Tumblr page and I was so proud! I found code snippets on the internet and cobbled them together to get the look I wanted for the page.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
The beginning of the development process because it's all about strategy and organizing (I was almost a professional organizer before I started working with websites!) Before I even get into Squarespace I look at the design and figure out my plan so I build the website in a way that functions best for the user and for the client to upkeep the website once finished.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding? Going for a walk! It's nice to take a break from the computer, but it's also when I tend to get my best ideas.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Modern. Bold.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Resize Gallery Block, Video Block Aspect Ratio Fix, Customizing Arrows, Fluid Section Full Width, Scoping Fluid Sections, Image Decor, Custom Scrollbar, Custom Cursor, Anchor Links
11
What makes your work standout?
My love of bold websites with fun animations that are easy to navigate.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Veronica Rogers
Website →Veronica wanted to design the website and have me develop it on Squarespace but she is a creative director, not a website designer, so we worked closely to make sure her design ideas could become a reality in Squarespace.
Used Fluid Image Reveal on Text Hover, Fluid Tabs, Custom Cursor, Ultimate Carousel, Rotated Nav
This is one of the most heavily coded Squarespace builds I've done so there was lots of troubleshooting on how to achieve Veronica's vision within Squarespace and it really pushed me to come up with creative solutions. The code toolkit and community were such an asset in figuring out some tricky coded parts of the website.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Feeling confident and like an expert after taking the courses. The Standout programs are about learning code, but it's also about really learning your tool (Squarespace and Shopify) and using code to enhance the platform, design, and user experience.
14
What is your dream website project?
I love collaborating with designers and making their design visions a reality in Squarespace.

05
Most of the time I am working on finding new ways to show you how cool my templates are.

Custom, intuitive brand and web designs are a special offering available a few times on a flat rate for aligned clients - just ask me ☻”
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
I was definitely quick to hop on the Geocities website bandwagon and I can report that my love of GIFs has remained strong nearly 20 years later.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Turning the vision, words and feelings you have about your brand into something tangible
that you're proud of. It doesn't matter if it's me doing it or knowing my guidance has helped you manifest it ⏤ both feel incred.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
I need at least three different beverages on hand to stay put and concentrate on coding.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Maximalist. Feminine. Playful.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Any that make listed content fun and interactive ⏤ getting people to read words on a website isn't easy, but these sections are worth their weight in gold for their ability to help with that.
11
What makes your work standout?
I don't believe in 'blank canvas' templates. My People are hyper-creative, divergent thinkers who believe in radical authenticity ⏤ without a truly inspiring starting point, they struggle to start. I don't dumb my templates down for people, I start bold and facilitate you to make it your own.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
COSMO Squarespace Template
First created a few years ago, she hasn't stopped evolving. It's an ode to almost everything I've learned over many years of working for small businesses and from a technical perspective, a beautiful showcase of Squarestylist codes.
It's one thing to design a drop dead gorg website, it's another to make it workable as a template; the coding is different. Every section choice has to be very intentional. I also like it to be a balance of both DIY-friendly and using layouts that aren't so basic like most templates are!
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
The depth Rache goes into when it comes to covering all bases from a design, learning code, the incredibly layout library and freelancing perspective, is unparalleled. Even if you're joining for one of those elements, you will get your ROI. I can't say that about many courses (and I've invested in ~a lot~).
14
What is your dream website project?
Unique brand and website creations are a real honour I take seriously. It's a truly collaborative process where I use my 10+ years of experience and intuition to bring your wildest visions to life.
I pair best with - what i can only describe as - 'New Era’ businesses. Those shaking up or remixing existing ones to make them better. IYKYK.
Sometimes, I’m also the person that super creative-minded, neurodivergent people need when they have a particularly bold vision to come to life that other designers haven’t been able to grasp.

05
Most of the time I am working on Squarespace web and template design. I also regularly work on brand design projects. Shopify is another platform I work in as well.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
My first experiences with the internet were when I moved from Virginia to California. In order to stay connected with my classmates from the East Coast, I got all their emails. After that, I stayed connected with them through AIM, and eventually MySpace (my favorite social media platform ever.)
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I LOVE to code. It's creative problem-solving. It's both a right-brained and left-brained task. I love it.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Outside of work, my biggest passion in life is cooking. You can always find me in the kitchen outside of working hours.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Otherworldly. Vibrant. Vintage/Retro.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Flexbox might be my favorite CSS trick I've ever learned. I use split screen sections all the time in my work, as well as sticky sections.
11
What makes your work standout?
The main thing about my design style that sets me apart is the process I go through in the work itself. My intuitive approach to design is my biggest unique selling point. Everything is thought out and meaningful in its own way. Everything is drawn in using my intuition and creativity. My work is art. Plain and simple.
Also, the fact that I am both a talented creative person and have strong technical development skills. When you connect with my brand, I do have a very distinct personal aesthetic. That being said, I am very open-minded when it comes to the types of design styles I take on for clients.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Carolyn Egan's Holistic Academic DevelopmentWebsite →
Natalie Brite
Website →I love this project because it showcases how a client/designer relationship can remain longstanding even after the client's personal style changes and evolves. I built this site using a template, which I learned how to create using the template module. Gemini also features a lot of split sections.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
I have learned to feel more confident writing code through these programs. This was something I always wanted to get better at, but I didn't have a chance to until I enrolled in Standout Squarespace. They changed the game for me and has given me a technical leg up on other designers in my field.
14
What is your dream website project?
I would love to design a website for someone who has created an oracle or tarot deck. Or maybe they're a shop that sells a variety of decks and other witchy items.

Most of the time I am working on client branding & website projects
““Working with Neets is an absolute joy! She takes the time to understand your business, vision, and clients to build a virtual space that engages your audience and fully represents your business. I love working with her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a website that stands out & truly embodies their brand!” ”
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
Some of my earliest memories of the internet were spent building my own webpages on geocities and asianavenue as a tween, and designing my neopet dream home.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I work in an intensive-design-day format and my FAVOURITE day is the website design day. It's where I take everything the client has shared (copy, photos, brand kit, hopes and dreams), and put it together into a functional and beautiful website mockup. From there, we spend the day going back and forth, making edits and changes in real time. It is so collaborative and incredibly rewarding to see the client's dream website be created- literally right in front of their eyes.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Does listening to ghibli music count? Whenever I need a break, I also head downstairs to my partner's office (we both work from home) for a mid-day hug.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words?
Playful. Minimalist. Maximalist. Vibrant. Modern
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Ah, so many! But I think the good ol' split screen sticky scroll has been a go-to.
11
What makes your work standout?
As a libra, and a people pleaser, I've always been a bit of a chameleon-- which has really come in handy with my work. Instead of having a concrete cookie-cutter style, I like to tailor my designs for each brand and each project. With that said, my "signature" approach is to encourage my clients to infuse some delight into the design. Whether that's through scroll effects, gifs, or colour, I like to add just a touch of unexpected playfulness to everything.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Decipher Counselling
Website →
I worked with Linda, the founder of Decipher Counselling, on her brand and website design. Over the course of four days, we were able to make her vision a reality. She came to me with keywords like "nostalgia" and "dreamy", and I think the final result is exactly that! You can check it out for yourself.
Standout Workshops used: Universal Filter, and a lot of pseudo elements were used in the design.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
To have fun & play with website design! I'm always thinking of "how else can we do this" in a way that feels delightful and unconventional.
14
What is your dream website project?
I'm currently loving minimalist websites-- minimal in terms of content, not necessarily design. Bring on the one-page websites! I think the boundary/ restraint that's needed makes it all the more interesting on a creative level.
I love the idea of a website being a portal. Providing mystery and intrigue, and just the right amount of information, so that folks are moved into action to speak with an actual human being/ continue down the path of discovering more about a business.

02
Outside work you will often find me working...but I'm working on that.
You'll also find me:
- Reading in the park
- Cooking and drinking wine with my twin sister
- Hanging out with my grandad
- Thrifting online or in person (VIEW)
03
But on a typical workday, I like to make the part of the morning where I have my coffee and I'm just doing a little creative work last as long as possible before I check my email. Then I usually interact with humans - clients, fellow creatives, or my sister in the afternoon.
04
My day usually starts with making the bed. It helps me feel sane.
05
Most of the time I am working on brand and web design. It never stops and I don't want it to. I love what I do.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
I distinctly remember the dial-up tone on the family computer sitting in a "den" covered in 70's orange wood paneling. And I also have fond memories of playing the Disney Channel online games at my grandparent's house.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Getting to be "Type A" and a creative at the same time. Websites should be predictable to some extent and use patterns to make visitors feel at ease. At the same time, within that structure, a site should be innovative and surprising enough to keep people's attention.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
I feel that napping is an integral part of the coding process.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Minimalist. Modern. Playful.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Learning flexbox unlocked something in my brain. I use it to customize the header navigation in a lot of my sites. But learning to scope sections so I can preset different layouts for my clients is what I use nonstop.
11
What makes your work standout?
I have a photographer on staff.
I have amazing copywriters in my back pocket.
As a designer, I can clear away the clutter and create a site that feels effortless.
Everything that makes it onto my websites serves a purpose.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Brilliant Escapes
A client project including brand, web, and photography for a luxury travel planner
We recommended a copywriter for the client. Then we built a brand suite, captured portrait and lifestyle photography, and then brought everything together in a stunning website. We leaned on our tried and true systems — steady meetings, email reminders, and guided client forms to keep a complex project organized.
As far as what I used from Standout Squarespace, sometimes it's hard to recall because Rache really empowers us to be intuitive developers. If pressed, I'd say scoping, responsiveness, and type style setup.
This project was supposed to be a template restyle and we purchased a template from another designer but I learned that I have a hard time with limitations and ended up basically building a site from scratch to fit my desire for an easy-to-edit site.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Rache really covers so much ground. She teaches designers to create in their own way and gives them the technical know-how to do it. Standout programs are the highest quality courses I've ever encountered.
14
What is your dream website project?
Design for an up-and-coming foodie.
I want to create a site for the next Sohla El-Waylly, Matty Matheson or Alison Roman.
I love food. My twin sis would be doing the photography, obviously, and I'd build a site that was easy to update and visually stunning.

“fáilte.|
/ˈfɑːltə,Irish ˈfɑːlʲtʲə/
Pronounced: fawl·chuh
An act or instance of welcoming.”
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
We got 3 computers at school when I was around 8 years old and we were all allowed to have a turn. I searched PUPPIES and then played with a paint program and created a drawing (design?) for my mum.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
I LOVE taking mockups and turning them into live working websites, using code to add special touches that can't be achieved otherwise - it's so exciting for me and for clients to see things coming to life.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
In between coding big projects I like to get outside, get some fresh air and reset. I also like to do pilates when I can or simply just clean, tidy and reorganise my space. I think having a calming, fresh work space can help so much!
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Minimalist. Dark. Romantic.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Sticky split screen scrolling seems very popular with photographers who are my main clients. It's a great way to show off a portfolio of work without making the website look really long.
11
What makes your work standout?
I like creating more moody, cosy websites that people can feel at home when visiting.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
I recently designed and built a template for photographers. Being a personal project it meant I could use elements and pieces of code I'd been wanting to try but maybe hadn't had the chance yet. I incorporated a mega menu, video banners, sticky scrolling portfolio and custom blog layout. It was a great way to practice my skills and I have had many clients reference elements of this template meaning I could use these sections again for client projects.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
When starting Standout Squarespace I was worried I wasn't clever enough to be able to understand and create technically coded websites. I've since learned that even a small amount of smart and clever coding can add a huge difference and make websites standout and be special. For me it's not about making the most technical, code filled website, but creating something beautiful where the client can feel at home and be proud to share.
14
What is your dream website project?
My dream project would be either a Scottish landscape or wedding photographer website, or an architectural project. Anything with beautiful, rugged imagery.

06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Is it when designing and creating mockups.
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Listening to music or doodling on a piece of paper.
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Minimalist. Modern. Playful. Vibrant. Bold.
09
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Exploring all the possibilities with the power section! I love incorporating it into all of my projects multiple times.
10
What makes your work standout?
Is designing a website in collaboration with the client so they can feel confident about selling! I believe that everyone deserves something special for their business and tech and design stuff shouldn't stop anyone from achieving their goals and dreams.
11
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?

03
But on a typical workday, I am usually up earlyyyy, spending time alone in the quiet and then working a bit before anyone else is awake in the house. Then, I enter mom-mode for a few hours before putting my Designer hat back on and knocking out a couple of hours of work...usually focused on client work, filming lots of videos so clients can watch presentations on their own time, and digging into data to make sure each project is backed by science AND style.

05
Most of the time I am working on designing a website for someone super talented.
“Strategy-infused design. Finessed with style. Refined with intention.”
06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Hands-down the strategy. Sunday Muse Design brands and websites don’t just look pretty. They also get results. I’m not just here to point out your problems or make assumptions. I’m here to come up with a game plan, so you can have clarity on where to actually focus your resources and time. Because the strategy is where we lay the groundwork for greatness.
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Pastime? HA what's a pastime?! :) Most of my time is spent working or being a mom.
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Feminine. Modern.
09
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
My clients love the Balanced Header and most anything involving a "sticky" element. Many also like the slide out menu or forced hamburger menu on desktop.
10
What makes your work standout?
Everything I do is based on strategy. We don't go into a single website project blindly. There's some level of research involved in every project - even my Intensives.
11
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
There is so much room for creativity and flexibility within Squarespace, and it's absolutely possible to build a beautiful, responsive, and accessible site using the Standout techniques!
12

Hi! My name is Chiara Jansen and I’m a Brand Strategist, WebDesigner + Developer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
02
Outside work you will often find me navigating the chaos of mom life and trying to sneak in a moment of peace with a book (preferably in a café)
03
But on a typical workday, I am usually strategizing like a boss, sipping on my third coffee, and infusing creativity into every project for my clients. If it's a good day, there’s also some impromptu dancing between design sessions.
04
My day usually starts with a whirlwind of breakfast chaos, trying to get the kids ready for school while juggling emails on my phone. Somewhere in there, I manage to chug a lukewarm coffee and mentally prepare for the day ahead.
05
Most of the time I am working on empowering female entrepreneurs to break through their limitations with stunning brand identities and seamless websites. Basically, I’m turning visions into reality, one pixel at a time.
06
What are your first memories of the Internet?
AOL chatrooms and that glorious dial-up tone—pure nostalgia.
07
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Seeing the light in my clients’ eyes when their vision comes to life. It's like digital alchemy—turning raw ideas into a cohesive, beautiful, and functional brand presence. Plus, I live for those "aha" moments when everything clicks perfectly into place.
08
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Blasting some empowering tunes to keep the vibe high and the inspiration flowing.
09
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Bold. Feminine.
10
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
I love the Product Slider Section which is powered by CSS only and the Shop the Look Section. I think both sections work so well with a lot of brands to showcase their products.
11
What makes your work standout?
My dedication and love for creating not just visually stunning designs, but also strategic and soulful brand experiences. I blend creativity with a deep understanding of my clients’ dreams and goals, ensuring every project is a unique masterpiece tailored to empower and inspire.
12
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Valery Vain
The website for Valery Vain holds a special place in my heart and it was one of the first sites I build with the Esencia theme. We implemented several wholesale options; potential partners can fill out a custom form, wholesale partners can login and easily (pre)order the products and access products exclusive available for wholesale.
13
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
The amount of knowledge that's shared is insane. The program is already very detailed, but Rache's support goes even further than that. She really goes beyond and beyond and is always willing to help and support <3.
14
What is your dream website project?
My passion lies in collaborating with those who dare to dream big and make bold moves – the game-changers in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle realms.

03
But on a typical workday, I am usually designing, developing, creating brand identities.
04
My day usually starts with tea and cuddles with my 1 year old in bed.
05
Most of the time I am working on Website Design and Development.
06
What is the best part about the process of building websites for you?
Translating design to code. How code can completely transform anything and open doors to infinite possibilities.
07
What is your favorite stretch or pastime in between coding?
Getting distracted with possibilities.
08
How would you describe your Standout Style in 2-3 words? Editorial. Minimalist. Playful.
09
Which Standout workshops do you find yourself incorporating most often on your website projects?
Split Screen, CSS Grids, Lined Header
10
What makes your work standout?
I love brands that stand out, odd colours, geometry, minimalism but edgy. I think less is more (always) but love experimenting with design elements like typography and colour to deliver creations outside the box.
11
What are some of your proudest works you've worked on?
Porcellino
Website →This client gave me full creative control with both brand identity and website. They trusted my process and as a result there was minimal back and forth and they loved the outcome. I used many of the standout workshops including module one to discover what the client needed, setting up the website the Standout way, changing images on hover and many CSS customisations that elevated the sites design.
12
What are the biggest takeaways from the Standout programs?
Confidence in my ability to design and develop exceptional websites.
13
What is your dream website project?
Any project which allows creative freedom and pushes the boundaries.
